Does the dMAT requirement apply to the Winter Semester 2026/27 intake in Germany?

No. The dMAT requirement applies only from the Summer Semester 2027 intake onward. If you are applying for Winter 2026/27 and your APS documentation is already in motion, none of the dMAT dates or fees affect you at all.

Why the timing rules Winter 2026/27 out

The first India dMAT certificates are not issued until 12 October 2026, which is well after most Winter Semester 2026/27 application deadlines have already closed. The certificate simply cannot exist in time to be part of a Winter 2026/27 application, which is why the requirement starts with the following intake.
