Does the dMAT replace the APS certificate, ANABIN recognition, or TestAS?

No, on all three counts. The dMAT does not replace APS verification, it does not replace ANABIN recognition, and it does not replace TestAS. It simply becomes one additional required document inside your existing APS file.

How it sits alongside APS and ANABIN

APS India continues to check the authenticity of your degree, marksheets, and certificates exactly as before; the dMAT certificate is just one more document in that same file. It does not replace ANABIN either: a strong dMAT score cannot compensate for a degree from an institution with a poor or unclear ANABIN recognition status, so check your university's ANABIN listing independently before you register.

TestAS and other tests remain separate

The dMAT does not replace TestAS, which remains a separate, often-optional aptitude test used mainly for Bachelor's-level applicants. If your target program separately asks for TestAS or GRE, that requirement stands regardless of your dMAT result.

My Advice

Check your ANABIN status before you spend a rupee on dMAT registration. A recognition problem is a much harder blocker to fix than a weak aptitude score, and no amount of dMAT prep will change that.
