It depends. Having a study gap or academic backlogs does not automatically affect your chances of getting a UK student visa, as long as you provide clear explanations and supporting documents.

- Backlogs: If your chosen UK university has accepted you and issued a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) despite your backlogs, you can proceed. Make sure you have official transcripts and a backlog certificate.
- Study gaps: These are common and generally accepted if you can explain the reason (such as work, health, or personal circumstances) with supporting documents like employment letters or medical certificates.

In your Statement of Purpose (SOP), clearly explain the reasons for any gaps or backlogs and provide relevant documentation. If you need help preparing your documents, connect with your LeapScholar counsellor.
