For Canada, the document requirements differ slightly between Postgraduate (PG) certificate/diploma programs and master’s programs, so it’s important to understand both.

For PG certificate/diploma programs, the requirements are relatively straightforward and typically include:

• Academic transcripts/marksheets (10th, 12th, and undergraduate)

• Degree certificate or provisional certificate

• Valid passport

• English language test scores (IELTS/TOEFL)

In most cases, SOP and LORs are not mandatory for PG diploma programs, which makes the application process simpler and faster.

For master’s programs, the requirements are more comprehensive:

• Academic transcripts (primarily undergraduate)

• Degree certificate

• Statement of Purpose (SOP)

• 2–3 Letters of Recommendation (LORs)

• Updated resume/CV

• English language test scores (IELTS/TOEFL)

Additionally, some competitive or specialized master’s programs may require GRE or GMAT scores, especially in fields like engineering, data science, or business. In addition, depending on your course, you may need to submit extra documents such as a portfolio (for design or creative programs) or proof of relevant work experience.
