No, not everyone sits the same module, though most do. For the standard APS India route, every affected applicant sits for the General Academic Module, regardless of whether their undergraduate degree is in Engineering, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Business, or Management.

The Two Exceptions

Field-specific Subject Modules do exist, but they are currently tied to exactly two named German programs rather than to the general APS India process: RWTH Aachen University's MSc Battery Science and Technology in Engineering (which uses five discipline-specific tracks: Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering) and Georg-August University Gottingen's MSc Data Science (which uses a dedicated Data Science module).

What This Means for You

Outside these two universities and six named modules, every other APS India applicant defaults to the General Academic Module. Your target program, not your undergraduate degree, is what determines which of these applies to you.
