Can you consult me as I do not want to settle abroad permanently and want to come back to India in UK/Italy for a Master's/PhD?

Yes, you can absolutely study in Italy or the UK and return to India after your studies - settling abroad permanently is not required.

Both countries offer master's programs where you can gain international experience and return to India after graduation. You’ll typically receive a student visa for the duration of your course, plus a post-study work visa (PSW) period if you wish to gain some work experience:

- Italy: Student visa (Type D) for your course, with a PSW option for up to 12 months after graduation.
- UK: Student visa for your course, with the Graduate Route allowing up to 2 years of work after graduation (subject to change; planned reduction to 18 months from January 2027). This 2-year period applies to applications made before 1 January 2027; applications submitted on or after that date receive 18 months, while PhD graduates continue to receive 3 years.

You must adhere to all visa conditions and return before your visa expires to avoid future travel issues.
