Can I do a Masters in Computer Science in Germany with a non-CS bachelor's?
Usually no, because of Germany's consecutive Master's rule: your Master's must continue your bachelor's subject. A B.Tech in CS or ECE qualifies for M.Sc. Informatik, but Mechanical or Civil does not. If your degree carries heavy computing content, a related M.Sc. may still be open.
This is one of the most common surprises for Indian applicants. Germany applies a consecutive Master's rule, meaning your Master's must be a genuine continuation of your bachelor's subject, so a pure non-CS degree usually will not qualify you for an M.Sc. in Computer Science.
