Can I apply for New Zealand physiotherapy registration and visa through the express pathway without IELTS if I have a recognized overseas qualification in UK/Ireland?
It depends. You may be eligible for New Zealand physiotherapy registration through the International Express Pathway without IELTS if you meet certain criteria.
- Current registration or qualification: You must hold unrestricted physiotherapy registration, or a recognized physiotherapy qualification, from the UK, Ireland, Canada, or South Africa.
- English proficiency: If your qualification is from one of these countries, it may be accepted as proof of English proficiency instead of IELTS. This is subject to the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand’s current policies.
Visa requirements are separate and may have different English language criteria, which are subject to change.
