Are general marketing programs eligible for PGWP or only digital marketing programs in Canada for a Bachelor's/Master's?
It depends. Both general marketing and digital marketing programs in Canada can be eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), but eligibility is based on your program’s duration, the institution’s status, and - starting November 1, 2024 - specific field of study requirements for some non-degree programs.
- Program duration: Must be at least 8 months.
- Institution: Must be a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) with PGWP eligibility.
- Field of study: For non-degree programs, only certain fields (based on official codes) will qualify for the PGWP after November 1, 2024. Degree programs (bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral) are not affected by this change.
