After university acceptance, how do I send my bank statement in UK?
After acceptance, you upload your bank statement through your university's applicant portal so their compliance team can verify funds before issuing your CAS, and separately upload it as a PDF or scan during your online UK student visa application to UK Visas and Immigration, following the 28-day fund holding rule.
After your university acceptance, you send your bank statement digitally, not by post, and where you send it depends on your exact stage. You will likely upload it twice, once for your university's compliance check and again for your actual visa application.
Where You Send Your Bank Statement
| Stage | Where It Goes |
|---|---|
| Pre-CAS check | Your university's applicant portal, such as Enroly or their internal admissions system |
| Visa application | Uploaded digitally as a PDF or scanned copy during your online UK Student Visa application to UKVI |
UKVI Rules Your Statement Must Meet
- The 28-Day Rule: your required funds must have sat in the account for a consecutive 28-day period.
- Your statement must be printed or downloaded no more than 31 days before you submit your application.
- It must show your full name, account number, statement date, your bank's name and logo, and a running balance that never drops below the required threshold.
- If using a parent's account, include a signed consent letter and proof of your relationship, such as a birth certificate.
My Advice
Download your statement only after your 28-day holding period is fully complete, and check every page for cut-off numbers or shadows before uploading, since formatting errors are the most common reason these get rejected. If you are using a parent's account, prepare the consent letter and relationship proof at the same time as the statement, not afterward.
