There are two types of UPS systems, which are described here:
- Online UPS
A source of continuous power supply an online UPS continuously supplies electricity from its inverter. It has two significant drawbacks, the first being that it is more expensive than standby UPS, and the second is that it includes a cooling fan that makes a lot of noise.
- Standby power supply
When the power is turned off, the standby power supply, also known as an offline UPS, instantly transforms into a battery. During that time, the PC’s power source is not operational. Typically, a computer or office supply store will use this source.
