What is the full form of UNDP?

The full form of UNDP is the United Nations Development Programme. In more than 170 countries, it works to reduce poverty and prevent discrimination and exclusion. Communities can use it to build strategies, leadership traits, teamwork abilities, and resilience to support sustainable development.

The UNDP is run by a manager who oversees a 36-member executive board comprised of developed and developing countries. Its corporate headquarters are in New York City. Since 1951, the UNDP has been active in India, focusing largely on all facets of human advancements, such as the development of resilient structures and institutions, the creation of jobs, the use of renewable resources, and livelihoods and resources.

The Primary Focus of UNDP

The UNDP has helped over 100 nations remove more than 67,000 tonnes of ozone-depleting compounds annually while simultaneously lowering greenhouse gas emissions by 5.08 billion tonnes.
