The full form of SENSEX is Stock Exchange Sensitive Index. The oldest stock exchange in India is called SENSEX, also known as BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange). It is a free-floating, economy-weighted index of 30 reputable, financially stable companies listed on the BSE. The 30 component companies, among the most prosperous and actively traded equities in India, represent a variety of industries. In India, these businesses are also known as Blue chip corporations.
