India as a whole is covered under the Act. In the state of Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu & Kashmir Right to Information Act was already in effect. However, the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh fell under the Central Act once Article 370 of the Indian Constitution was repealed. Any organisation or body founded or established by an act of a state legislature or a Parliament is included, as are all constitutional authorities, including executives, legislatures, and judiciaries.
