The full form of PUC is Pollution under Control. Every on-road vehicle, including commercial vehicles, must have this mandated paperwork. Before providing the paperwork, the car is given a comprehensive inspection. For gasoline-powered automobiles, an emission check is done; for diesel-powered vehicles, an acceleration smoke test is done. The vehicles will be qualified to receive the PUC paperwork if they meet the established standards.

India’s authorised gas stations provide the PUC test for automobiles. A certified car emission centre issues the PUC certificate following the successful conclusion of the test. A vehicle can be checked using a computer at the certified emission centre.

The car owner will be fined Rs 1,000 for the first violation if they are requested by the traffic police for a valid PUC certificate but fail to produce one. However, after the first infringement, Rs 2,000 will be paid to the Traffic Police as a fine.

Second Full Form of PUC?

Another full form of PUC is Pre-University Course. Pre-University Course sometimes referred to as the 10+2 Course, is a course that students who have completed class 10 enrol in. It lasts for a total of two years and is a senior secondary or intermediate course. The Pre-University Course has ties to a variety of state boards and educational organisations, including CBSE. After successfully completing their tenth grade, students can apply for a Pre-University Course, which is available in a variety of fields like science, the arts, and business. Students can enrol in graduate studies at institutions once they have successfully completed a pre-university course.

Another full form of PUC is Personal Unlock Code. The SIM card and the data on it are safeguarded in mobile phones using a safe facility called Personal Unlock Code. Whenever a user’s sim card is barred for whatever reason, they need to obtain a Personal Unlock Code. The network provider of a SIM Card will supply the 8-digit Personal Unlock Code or PUC.
