- While working in the UK in 1936, Austrian engineer Paul Eisler created the printed circuit that is a component of a radio set.
- Later, the US utilised them to create proximity fuzes for the Second World War. After the Second World War, the invention was published in the USA for commercial use.
- They are updated annually, and as a result, they are now included in many electronic devices.
