What is the full form of NSS?

The full form of NSS is National Service Scheme. It is an organisation supported by the Indian government and falls under the Ministry of Sports & Youth Affairs. It was established in 1969 to use community services to develop the character of students and younger generations. It is an organisation comprised of young, university- and college-bound students in the +2 grade.

The NSS’s motto, Not Me But You, stands for the idea of community living and emphasises the importance of selfless service. The NSS participants are required to work for society’s well-being since the NSS’s goal is predicated on the idea that an individual’s welfare is largely dependent on society’s total wellness.

• The red colour suggests that the volunteer is in good health, eager and dedicated, and brimming with youthful energy.
• Navy blue represents the universe, of which the NSS is a tiny fraction and prepared to respond to its contribution to the welfare of individuals and society.
• The logo’s wheel symbolises the process of creation, preservation, and motion of space and time in the real world. As a result, it exhibits consistency and advancement and shows the NSS’s continuing search for social change.
