The full form of NAAC is National Assessment and Accreditation Council. In India, higher education is assessed and accredited by a separate authority. It was established by India’s UGC (University Grants Commission) by the National Education Policy’s recommendations, which strongly emphasised the calibre of that country’s higher education. Bangalore serves as the home of NAAC, which was founded in 1994.
