The full form of IATA is International Air Transport Association. IATA is a private organisation that promotes collaboration among scheduled airlines globally to secure, safe, dependable, and affordable airline services, i.e. to offer consulting services to the airline sector.

It has partnerships with about 275 airlines. The services provided by IATA include fleet and sales planning, cargo protection, capacity planning, management of airport operations, aviation safety, and airspace planning, among others. Additionally, it offers services for fund clearing, managerial accounting and distribution, accounting, financing, and accounting.
