Importance of GNM

A long-standing profession, general nursing midwifery (GNM) has only grown in significance in the modern era as a result of the rising population, illnesses, and diseases. First of all, they are crucial in helping doctors as they work in operating rooms, hospital wards, etc. As a result, we might say that they serve as a doctor’s hand.

Additionally, they are vital in informing patients and communities about various illnesses and precautions. The benefits of maintaining personal and public cleanliness, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), and other topics are all covered in their education programmes.

Many times, nurses work in areas devastated by conflict, helping both civilians and soldiers. Many nurses carried out their social duties during the current COVID wave by travelling to various locations around the country and the world.

GNMs are seen as having very respectable jobs in society because of their commitment to both their work and to society.
