What is the full form of DRDO?

The full form of DRDO is the Defence Research and Development Organization. The Republic of India’s DRDO agency is in charge of the army’s research and development. It was established in 1958 as a result of the fusion of the Technical Development Establishment and the Directorate of Technical Development and Production with the Defense Science Organization (DSO). Its administrative centre is in New Delhi and is run by the Indian government’s Ministry of Defence.

The Organization is currently supported by over 5000 researchers and about 25,000 scientific, other training, and research resources. There have already been major advancements made in a number of large weapons technology initiatives, including those involving missiles, light combat aircraft, radars, electronic warfare systems, etc.
