What is the full form of BAMS?

The full form of BAMS is Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery. The five-and-a-half-year BAMS programme examines the traditional Ayurveda system in conjunction with contemporary medicine. Out of 5.5 years, 4.5 years are spent in nursing, and 1 year is spent as an internship. The traditional form of treatment was the focus of many BAMS applications.

  • The candidates must have received at least a 45–50 per cent grade in Biology in their 12th grade from an accredited board to qualify for the BAMS programme.
  • Admission to the BAMS programme is centralised and determined by the NEET exam score.
  • Candidates must take Biology, Physics, and Chemistry as required subjects in their final year of high school.

BAMS Admission Process

  • The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test determines eligibility for admission to BAMS (NEET).
  • Today, admittance to many medical programmes, including BAMS, requires passing this exam.
  • Following the NEET results, you will have centrally regulated counselling, which will determine where you will attend college, depending on your performance.
  • After that, colleges could conduct individual interviews to assess the students even more.
