What is the full form of VGA?

The full form of VGA is Video Graphics Array. IBM was the first to establish the VGA standard. It operates on analogue transmissions and has a 640-480 resolution display with 16 colours at a time and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. It displays a maximum of 256 colours at a time from the 262, 144 colour range. A 6-Bit Digital to Analog transformer is used to convert analogue RCB (red, green, and blue) signals.

IBM introduced VGA for its PS/2 range of PCs in 1987. The original VGA graphics card was the first to provide up to 16 colours at a screen resolution of 640-480 pixels. VGA could display up to 256 colours at a lower resolution of 320 200 pixels, allowing it to generate lowercase. As a result, it was included in the first OS loading mode. Microsoft’s Windows OS, for example, has loaded its iconic initial screen in VGA colour.
