What is the full form of AIDS?

The full form of AIDS is Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. When a person has AIDS, a condition brought on by HIV, their immune system is weakened and unable to defend itself against any illness or infection. The final stage of HIV infection, known as AIDS, occurs when the patient cannot fight by himself and begins to spread numerous infections. AIDS results in death when it is not treated.

An advanced stage of HIV infection is AIDS. A person with AIDS may suffer from many illnesses, such as Thrush, Pneumonia, TB, Skin disorders, Cytomegalovirus, and Toxoplasmosis. The likelihood of contracting diseases like cancer and brain disorders is increased.

Common AIDS symptoms

Since AIDS is an infection caused by a virus, the symptoms of an acute HIV infection can be similar to those of the flu or other viral disorders.

  • Joints and muscles pain
  • Headache
  • Diarrhoea
  • Tiredness
  • Swollen Lymph glands
  • Red rashes
  • Night Sweating
  • Sore throat, and so on.

Treatment for AIDS

With the right diagnosis, care, and support, one might fight the condition and typically lead a safe and happy life. However, there does not appear to be a permanent or optimal cure or treatment for it.

Someone must take the necessary actions and put up with any potential negative effects.

Drugs are used to stop the virus from reproducing.

ART is a successful HIV/AIDS treatment (antiretroviral therapy).
