No, a postgraduate medical degree obtained abroad is not automatically recognized in India.

The foreign institution and its program must be approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The university must apply to the NMC, which will assess if the program meets Indian standards. After completing your degree abroad, you may also need to pass an NMC screening test to register and practice medicine in India.

Without NMC recognition and fulfilling these requirements, your foreign postgraduate medical degree will not be valid for medical practice in India.
