Will I find campus placements in France as an international student?
There is typically no concept of campus placements in France like in India. Most French universities have a Career Services cell that helps you prepare for interviews and may connect you with companies or HR managers, but the job search is mostly self-driven.
Unlike in India, you should not expect companies to visit campuses and hire graduates in France. Placements as you know them are generally not part of the system.
What to Expect
| Aspect | In France |
|---|---|
| Campus placements | Generally no concept of placements like in India |
| Career Services | Most French universities have a cell that helps with jobs and interview preparation |
| Employer contact | May refer you to companies or help you reach HR managers |
| Job search | Mostly self-driven, as in many European countries |
How to Prepare
Since the job search is your own responsibility, start early. Use the Career Services cell for interview practice and introductions, and build your own network and applications.
My Advice
Ask each university how its Career Services cell supports international students before you decide. Details vary by institution, so check the official university page.
