Which master's course suits an International Business graduate with 70 percent marks and two years of work experience?
Repeating your bachelor's subject at master's level rarely helps a CV stand out, so the more useful question is which specific skill your 2 years of experience already points toward, since that decides more than your 70% score does.
MSc Supply Chain Management: The Strongest Differentiator
- Example program: University of Guelph's MSc Supply Chain Management lists careers such as supply-chain manager, operations analyst and procurement manager.
- Best fit: your 2 years touched operations, logistics or exports.
MSc Business Analytics: Best for a Data-Focused Pivot
- Prerequisite check: some UK universities, such as Exeter, require at least one quantitative undergraduate module, so verify eligibility first.
- Best fit: your 2 years leaned toward reporting, data or quantitative analysis.
| Specialisation | Named Program | Best If Your 2 Years Were In |
|---|---|---|
| MSc Supply Chain Management | University of Guelph | Operations, logistics, procurement, trade |
| MSc Business Analytics | Exeter or Essex programs | Reporting, data, quantitative analysis |

My Advice
In my experience, International Business graduates default to another International Business or Management master's because it feels safe, but that path adds the least differentiation to a CV that already has the subject covered. Check your undergraduate transcript for quantitative modules before committing to Business Analytics, since several UK universities specifically require them, and lean on your 2 years of work experience in your personal statement regardless of which specialisation you choose, since it is your strongest differentiator either way against fresh graduates with no comparable exposure.
