My Advice
In my experience, the biggest mistake EEE graduates make is picking a specialisation because it sounds futuristic rather than because they enjoyed the related undergraduate labs. If you liked circuits and power electronics coursework, Power Electronics or Electric Machines and Drives will feel like a natural extension; if you enjoyed programming microcontrollers more than winding motors, Embedded Systems is the safer bet. Keep VLSI as a backup only if you are genuinely comfortable with heavy mathematics and digital design, since it is the most specialised and competitive option of the group.
