The UK generally offers more straightforward sponsored visa options for internships and post-study work compared to Germany.

- UK: International students can do internships under the Student visa (with work limits) and, for internships outside their degree, use the Temporary Work - Government Authorised Exchange (GAE) visa, which requires sponsorship. After graduation, the Graduate Route allows you to work or job-hunt for two years without employer sponsorship.

- Germany: Internships are allowed during studies, but if they exceed 90 days/year, you need a residence permit. After graduation, you can extend your stay for 18 months to seek work related to your degree, but this also involves additional permits.
