Which Business specialisation suits a graduate in Commerce with 9 months of work experience?

Nine months of experience is genuinely enough to have learned something useful about what kind of work you enjoy day to day, and that should weigh more heavily here than simply picking the most popular sounding specialisation.

Why Finance Is The Safer Default

• Direct continuation: it builds on the accounting, taxation and financial management your Commerce degree already covered.
• Broad career range: banking, corporate finance, investment and financial analysis roles are all realistic outcomes.
• Recognised by employers: a Commerce plus Finance combination is a well understood profile in most recruiting processes.

When Business Analytics Is The Better Call

Choose Business Analytics if you are genuinely willing to pick up Excel, SQL, Power BI or Tableau and basic statistics, since it bridges the gap between technical data science and business decision making. It suits you particularly well if your 9 months already involved reporting, MIS work or working closely with data.
