When can I take the required English language test for my application?
You can take the IELTS exam throughout the year in India. The computer-based IELTS is available almost daily at major centers. The last paper-based IELTS in India is on August 22, 2026; after that, only the computer-based format will be offered.
For your January 2027 intake, aim to take the IELTS by September 2026. This gives you enough time for score reporting and university applications. IELTS scores are valid for two years.
The current registration fee is ₹19,000. Book your test date at least 4 - 6 weeks in advance, especially during peak seasons.
