IELTS scores are valid for 2 years from your test date. After this period, most universities and immigration authorities will not accept your results, and you’ll need to retake the test.

A few organizations may consider older scores if you’ve used English continuously since the test, but this is rare. There is no option to extend or renew an expired IELTS score - retaking the exam is required.
