The Executive Assessment typically has three sections: Integrated Reasoning, Verbal and Quant. Each lasts around 30 minutes, and there are 40 questions in total: 12, 14 and 14. It starts with Integrated Reasoning and has no breaks between sections. Check the official GMAT site for the latest format.

The Executive Assessment, often called the Mini GMAT, is designed to evaluate your business acumen and decision-making skills for an EMBA program. It is shorter than the GMAT and has three sections.

Section Structure

SectionQuestionsTime
Integrated Reasoning1230 minutes
Verbal1430 minutes
Quantitative1430 minutes

Other Features to Know

  • Order: the test begins with Integrated Reasoning, followed by Verbal and then Quantitative, which differs from the GMAT.
  • Calculator: an in-built calculator is available for Integrated Reasoning but not for Quantitative.
  • Breaks: there are no breaks between sections.
  • Content: questions lean towards business, and some practice questions have appeared in the Official GMAT Guide.
  • Scores and booking: scores are typically valid for 5 years, and you can usually register at least 24 hours in advance.

Formats and policies change, so verify all of this on the official GMAT website.

My Advice

Check first that your target EMBA programme accepts the Executive Assessment. Then practise with the fixed section order in mind, since you cannot take a break between sections.
