What documents are required for enrollment after visa approval?
After your F-1 visa is approved, you’ll need several documents for enrollment in your U.S. Master’s program:
- Passport (valid for at least 6 months beyond your stay)
- Form I-20 (issued by your U.S. institution)
- Visa approval notice
- SEVIS I-901 fee payment receipt
- Visa application fee receipt
- Financial documents (bank statements, scholarship letters, or affidavits of support)
- Academic records (transcripts, diplomas, test scores)
- Proof of English proficiency (TOEFL or IELTS, if not already submitted)
- Health insurance documentation (if required by your institution)
- Housing information (U.S. accommodation details)
- Travel itinerary
- Emergency contacts (for both U.S. and India)
Keep both physical and digital copies. Requirements may vary by university, so check if your institution needs any additional forms. If you have questions, reach out to your LeapScholar counsellor.
