What are the English language score requirements from 12th grade for admission for a Master's/MBA?
Most Irish universities do not accept 12th-grade English scores alone for Master's admission. Instead, they require an English proficiency test like IELTS.
- IELTS: Minimum 6.5 overall, with no band below 6.0 (typical requirement; subject to change).
- Some specialized programs (e.g., Medicine, Law, MBA) may require a higher score, usually 7.0 - 7.5 overall.
A few universities may consider 12th-grade English marks for waiving the IELTS requirement, but this is uncommon and not guaranteed. Providing an IELTS score is strongly recommended to strengthen your application and visa process.
