Can I study in Malta or France without IELTS?
→Yes, you can study in both Malta and France without taking the IELTS exam if you provide alternative proof of your English language proficiency. Universities across these countries accept options like Medium of Instruction certificates, alternative English tests, or internal institutional interviews. However, choosing a no IELTS route does not.
Does my IELTS score of 6.5 with some modules at 5.5 qualify for admission in Malta for a Postgraduate?
→No, at the University of Malta your 6.5 overall with a 5.5 module will not meet the postgraduate rule of at least 6.0 in every component. Many private institutions and vocational colleges in Malta are more flexible and will accept this exact score.
