Is there any option for a student who does not get a job within the 30-day post-study work visa period to come back to India and then apply for a job or get sponsored by an employer from abroad in New Zealand/Singapore?

Yes, if you do not secure a job within the post-study work visa period in Singapore or New Zealand, you can return to India and later apply for jobs abroad. Employers in both countries can sponsor you for a work visa even if you are applying from outside their country.

- Singapore: No standalone post-study work visa is offered. After graduation, you may use the Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) to stay and search for jobs, but you cannot work during this period. If you do not get a job, you must return to India and can apply for jobs from there. Once you have a job offer, your employer can sponsor your work pass.

- New Zealand: The Post Study Work Visa allows you to work for up to three years (duration depends on your qualification and study location). If you do not find a job within this period, you can return to India and apply for jobs. With a valid job offer, an employer can sponsor you for a work visa.

Visa rules and sponsorship policies are subject to change.
