Is my SOP final?
It depends - your SOP is only final if it is concise (around 500 words), focused on your academic and professional background, clearly states your motivation for the program, and follows a logical structure.
German universities expect:
- Clear academic and professional focus - avoid lengthy personal stories; instead, highlight relevant experience and motivation.
- One-page length - typically 500 words, structured from background to goals.
- Formal, error-free language - no grammatical mistakes or clichés.
- Authenticity - genuine, specific reasons for your application.
If you haven’t yet reviewed or refined your SOP, share it with your LeapScholar counsellor for feedback before submission.
