My Advice
Do not read MIT's higher percentage as an easier route. If you thrive on intense, focused STEM problem solving, the IIT path is transparent and rewards years of disciplined JEE prep. If MIT is your aim, start in class 9 or 10 building Olympiad medals, research and leadership, because a holistic profile cannot be crammed in your final year.
