Is it better for my wife to do a course online first and then move to offline studies in New Zealand?

It is generally better for your wife to enroll directly in an on-campus program in New Zealand.

Online courses alone do not meet New Zealand's student visa requirements - she must be enrolled in a full-time, on-campus program to qualify for a student visa. Starting online can help her get familiar with the subject, but it won't support her visa application.

On-campus study also offers benefits like immersive learning, cultural exposure, and eligibility for post-study work visas (PSW), which allow graduates to work in New Zealand after completing their studies.
