If I finish my course by next year, when should I give my IELTS exam to enter foreign countries?
IELTS scores are valid for 2 years from your test date. To ensure your results are accepted for applications abroad after you finish your course next year, take the IELTS exam no earlier than 12-15 months before you plan to start your studies overseas.
This timing keeps your scores valid for both university admissions and visa processes, which often require recent results. If your target intake is September 2027, aim to take IELTS in early 2026.
