If I cannot settle in one country, can I move to another European country after studies for a Master's?
It depends. You can move to another European country after your studies in Latvia or Sweden, but you must meet that country's specific visa or residence permit requirements - there is no automatic transfer or right to settle elsewhere in Europe after graduation.
- Latvia: No dedicated post-study work visa. You must secure a job offer and switch to a work permit before your student permit expires.
- Sweden: Allows a post-study residence permit (up to 1 year for master's graduates) to seek work or start a business. If you find a job, you can apply for a work permit.
Moving to another European country will require a new visa or permit application according to that country's rules, which are subject to change.
