How long does it take to get the New Zealand visa after applying?

Visa processing times for New Zealand depend on the type of institution:

- Universities: About 3 weeks, with most completed within 8 weeks.
- Polytechnics/Institutes of Technology: Around 7 weeks, 80% within 3 months.
- Private Training Establishments: About 6 weeks, 80% within 10 weeks.
- Schools: Around 1 week, 80% within 2.5 weeks.

These are typical timeframes (subject to change) and exclude weekends and public holidays. Processing may take longer during peak periods (Oct - Mar), so applying at least 3 months before your travel date is advised.
