You can expect to receive your Indian passport in about 4 to 6 weeks with a normal application. This includes processing and police verification (which alone can take around 14 days or more).

For a Tatkaal (expedited) application, the passport is usually issued within 1 to 3 working days after your appointment, with police verification done afterward. Delivery by post typically takes an extra 2 to 5 days.

Processing times are subject to change based on your local police station and application volume.
