Yes, the National Overseas Scholarship (NOS) requires your total family income to be less than ₹8 lakh per year. This includes the combined income of your parents, spouse, and yourself if applicable.

For married female candidates, the income of in-laws, spouse, and children under 18 is also considered.

The income certificate must be issued by a Revenue Officer of at least Tehsildar rank. If your family’s gross annual income exceeds ₹2.5 lakh (Old Tax Regime) or ₹3 lakh (New Tax Regime), you must submit full Income Tax Returns (ITRs) for all family members before the final award letter.
