Yes, you will need to retake the IELTS exam if your previous score is more than two years old. IELTS scores are valid for two years from the test date; after that, most universities and immigration authorities will not accept them.

For example, if you took the IELTS on 18 Jun 2024, the score is valid until 18 Jun 2026. Plan your test date so your score stays valid for your application deadlines.
