Do I need to complete my current LLB in India before going abroad or can I start fresh abroad for a Bachelor's?
You do not need to complete your current LLB in India before starting a new undergraduate law degree abroad. Many international universities allow direct entry into their LLB programs after Class 12 or with an existing bachelor's degree.
However, if you plan to practice law in India later, note that the Bar Council of India (BCI) does not recognize most foreign undergraduate law degrees as equivalent to an Indian LLB for Bar enrollment. You may need to meet additional requirements or pass the All India Bar Examination (AIBE), subject to BCI recognition rules, which are subject to change.
