The BMAT (BioMedical Admissions Test) was a 2-hour exam for medical, dental, and veterinary admissions, covering:

- Aptitude and Skills (60 min): 35 multiple-choice questions on problem-solving and critical thinking.
- Scientific Knowledge (30 min): 27 multiple-choice questions on biology, chemistry, physics, and math (up to age 16 level).
- Writing Task (30 min): One essay chosen from three topics, testing clarity and argumentation.

Sections 1 and 2 were scored from 1 - 9; the writing task was graded for content and English.

The BMAT was discontinued after 2023. Most universities now require the UCAT exam for these courses. Check university requirements before preparing.
