Can we get a student visa for New Zealand and after getting permanent residency there, move to Australia?

Yes, you can apply for a New Zealand student visa, and after your studies, you may be eligible for permanent residency (PR) through options like the Skilled Migrant Category or Green List route.

However, holding New Zealand PR does not automatically let you live or work in Australia. To move to Australia after getting New Zealand PR, you must apply for a separate Australian visa.

Only New Zealand citizens - not PR holders - can move to Australia more easily under the Trans-Tasman Travel Arrangement.
