Can I give IELTS later as I have not given any English exam yet?
Yes, you can take the IELTS exam after starting your Canadian study permit application. However, it's strongly recommended to include your IELTS results with your initial application, as this can speed up processing and strengthen your case.
- For the Student Direct Stream (SDS), you need an overall IELTS Academic score of 6.0. It's best to have your IELTS results ready when applying under SDS.
- For other streams, IELTS is not always mandatory, but submitting scores can improve your application.
IELTS scores are valid for 2 years from the test date. Plan your exam timing so your results are current when you submit them. If you need guidance on next steps, connect with your LeapScholar counsellor.
